Still I Rise

Youth Of Colour Empowerment Project

This October, in Celebration of Black History Month, we’re launching our “Still I Rise” Youth Empowerment Project designed to inspire and equip young people of colour with the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive in today’s world.

The Programme

Participants will take part in six sessions focused on providing the tools, knowledge, and support needed to navigate and address racial experiences. By participating, young people will develop the strength to stand tall against adversity and shape their futures with confidence.

The importance of this initiative cannot be overstated, especially considering the riots that took place over the summer in the UK, where racial tensions and inequality were highlighted yet again. Now more than ever, we must unite to stand up against racism and ensure that those who experience it, especially our young people, have the power to rise above and make their voices heard.

If you are a young person aged between 10-18 years old or know someone who would benefit from this transformative experience, get involved! Let’s empower the next generation to stand strong, rise up, and lead the way to a brighter, more inclusive future.

Meet the Facilitator

Leading this project is the incredible Caroline Gayle-Dunne, a passionate and experienced advocate for ethnic minority communities.

Caroline has an extensive background in community development, with a focus on challenging inequalities and promoting inclusivity.

As a counselling psychotherapist and trauma-informed mental health practitioner, Caroline's approach delves into the exploration of racial incidents and the trauma associated with them.

Caroline will guide participants through discussions on identity, personal growth, overcoming adversity, and how to confidently take up space in the world.
